When you spend 2 years designing and planning an energy efficient home you want to make sure that your builder understands your brief and expectations for your home. Hand Built not only understood our brief but were passionate to be involved in a home using non- standard building materials. They researched alternative products and methods to help the house achieve our goals of a home requiring no heating or cooling other than what nature could provide with minimal maintenance. The management of Hand Built were on the ball from the start and any concerns before and during the build were always discussed openly with a win-win goal to both parties being negotiated. The trades used by Hand Built also worked to the highest standards to present the beautiful home we were expecting. The home came in on budget and on time. Our building experience with Hand Built was a truly enjoyable one and we would choose to build again with Hand Built if the need or situation arose again.

One hears so many horror stories of the pain and disappointment of building a new home. This was most definitely not my experience. The Hand Built team assisted me from the very beginning with my design concept and transformed this into a fully functional set of home plans. The support, guidance and very personal attention and communication throughout the build was exceptional. I had complete faith and trust in their building process and was delighted with my new home, delivered on time and within budget. We found Hand Built excellent to deal with in all regards to our Dealership build. The project was a major undertaking for us. Hand’s staff were very professional to deal with and their knowledge in all areas of the build was excellent. Hand Built are diverse enough to have key people to help and advice in all areas of the build process. There were times when there were over 40 different tradesmen on site working on the project. At no time did we have any doubts that the job was being done correctly and on time. Costs are always a major issue with any build and Hand’s were very aware of a cost overrun with our build. They advised and did everything the keep within our budget.

Firstly, converting an old Police Station/Courthouse into accommodation was going to be a complex job. Hand Built listened to our needs and were open and transparent throughout the build. The were easy to get along with and anything we asked for was not a bother. They came us with cost effective resolutions, kept to the timeline and were aware of sticking to the budget. We would absolutely use Hand Built again in the future and we expect they would be our first point of call for future developments.
